We understand scoring points is important, but to us, the end game is so much more than that. We find coachable moments that help your child realize his or her potential both on and off the court. Kid Explorer Basketball Camp is a supportive atmosphere for players of all abilities who enjoy positive coaching and healthy competition in an environment of fun and growth. Over the course of the week, campers work on and develop both individual and group skills and techniques, in order to develop and build upon the fundamentals of basketball through drills, games and exciting competition.
Under the guidance of St. Albans Varsity Basketball Coach OJ Johnson, Headfirst Basketball Camp emphasizes individual fundamentals and team play in an atmosphere of teamwork, development and fun competition. Coach OJ Johnson is a graduate of Georgetown University and is a former Hoya basketball and football player. While he was with Wise High School, the Washington Post named him Prince George’s County Coach of the Year in 2009 and 2011. He was also awarded the MSADA District 3 Athletic Director of the Year in 2011.
Kid Explorer Basketball Camp is split into three groups:
- Basketball II – Rising 2nd & 3rd Grades
- Basketball III – Rising 4th & 5th Grades
- Basketball IV – Rising 6th & 7th Grades
